Mag. Le Liu received her first piano lessons from her father, Guoji Liu, at the age of 4. From the age of 5 she studied with Prof. Jian Yu and from the age of 9 with professors Siyi Wu and Shuang Xiao at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. At the age of 17 she began her studies in Austria, first at the Joseph Haydn Conservatory in Eisenstadt with Prof. Ralf Heiber, and from 2006 at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna with Prof. Roland Keller. In January 2012 she passed the 3rd diploma examination with distinction. A postgraduate course with Prof. Roland Keller and master classes with Guillermo Gonzales and Pierre-Laurent Aimard complemented her training. Bösendorfer Scholarship, Thyll-Dürr Foundation and Tokyo Foundation. 1st prize (Grand prix de la ville de Paris) and special prize for the best interpretation of Ramon Humet's commissioned work at the Concours Olivier Messiaen in Paris. "Música Contemporánea" prize for the best interpretation of the contemporary commissioned work at the Concurso Internacional de Piano Premio "Jaén" Spain, award for the best interpretation of the piano sonata by Henri Dutilleux and for the best interpretation of the "Sonata de Guerre" by Olivier Greif at the Concours Orléans in France. Award winner of the Int. Silvio Bengali competition in Val Tidone Italy, the Josef Dichler competition and the "Gradus ad Parnassum" competition in Austria.
